I'd say this was probably the hardest decision I've had to make all night...
![]() but I ultimately had to go with Jimi... They are both amazing musicians but I prefer Hendrix over Page.

Jimi owns Jimmy. He was definatly more original, he was better live, and he put allot more emotion into the solos. Although Jimmy was better at riffs.

hendrix is better than page...if you know your blues you will know that half of zeppelins songs were stolen riffs....not that they aren't good...but page "borrowed" a ton.

One of the biggest chracteristics of blues is oversimplistic 12 bar chord progressions that are way too f*cking generic to be credited to any one artist to begin with. Blues guitarists steal from each other all the time.
Anyway, I still can't vote, though if this was preference it would be Page, he pretty much is my favorite guitarist. Yeah, even more so than Howe and Fripp. |

In greatness? For sho, but this isn't greatness. While its easy to Hendrix takes this as well and I think he does, you're still being way too biased against Page because of the band he happens to play for. And lest we forget, you haven't been the most objective party. You did call Page one of the worst guitarists ever, which any guitar purist even if they hated Zep as much as you do will tell you is just plain idiotic.

Hendrix or Page...now there's a question. I'd say I'm a bigger fan of Hendrix than Page, although I'm not quite sure why. I think that although Page might have a more inventive riff library and tends to diversify a little more than Hendrix in his Led Zep work, Hendrix in his Experience work is just on fire creatively. While there are some Led Zep songs that the listener could sit through easily, I don't think there are many Hendrix tracks that could be treated with anything but a "Holy ****, he's good" (unless of course you dislike Hendrix's work). Hendrix seems to be full of passion and energy with every song he plays, whereas Page can get a little lax in the passion department.
That's my two cents, anyway. It might be worth nothing, but it's my opinion. ![]() |
