Haha, well The Who were a great band, and Keith Moon an extrodinary drummer....but Zepp beats 'em easily.

The Who are God. Zeppelin can be contenders for maybe 4th or 5th, but The Who are the best rock band of all time.
Townshend. Daltrey. Entwhistle. Moon aka God.

Plus dudes, The Who had one of the best concerts of all time(Live at Leeds). They had the first POPULAR rock opera of all time(Pretty Thing's SF Sorrow beating Tommy by 5 months), and their concerts sound the same as their albums. Keith Moon could possibly be the best musician of all time, and they released a heavy amount of amazing albums. I used to love Zeppelin and I still listen to 'The Four Horsemen( I, II, III and IV)' on a regulat basis, but I listen to Tommy, Quadrophenia, A Quick One, etc. a lot more because they deserve the recognition that is not given to them. One of the most underrated bands ever.

And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

both bands were really popular in the 70's. Bt both in different types of music. one in pop, and the other in rock. Both were really good with lyircs, and singing.... But i still without any doubt have to go with Led Zeppelin, for being the first in metal, and for being the first band to ever really take hold of my heart and setting it free among the musical world .

They're both pretty good, but I'd pick Zep. I find them a little cooler.
