Of course it is. Daltry is better technically, but why is it so hard to see why someone would prefer Plant? Their styles of singing are about as different as you can get.
As a Zep fanboy I prefer Plant, though both are top 5 for me, along with Mercury, D*ckinson and Jeff Buckley. |

See I use that criteria because that's how bands usually appeal to me. Sure songwriting and singing could be lumped into one, but I think its important enough to have two separate categories and I don't care too much for extreme virtuosos on instruments...so yeah.

I hate that people have to be constantly compared simply because they are related, every time Jeff is discused, someone has to say "his dad is better", Jesus Christ. Who cares? Can't I still prefer Jeff? Does being the offspring of a popular musician strip him of credibility even though he was a f*cking incredible singer?

Uh, I seriously can't tell if you're joking, his singing on that song is excellent, and his version is better than Cohens by a damn good margin. He certainly wasn't trying to sing it the way Cohen did.

No, I mainly don't like his voice. That's all, I agree Cohen's is crap, but I find Rufus Wainwright's to be better than both. He really nails every moment in a way Buckley fails to do. Buckley's a talented singer, he's just way overhyped.
