Why?

Both have streaks of the Blues running through their music, both are experimental. Jack is certainly talented and original, with a flair for difference. His guitar sound resembles Hendrix also.

I agree with R-T.

Jack White isn't dead though.

It can be arranged. :bringit:

I kid, love The Stripes.

TheBig3 05-17-2006 10:20 PM

Its rare to see the regulars come together against the newbs, but hey, the white stripes have completed miracles before.

Let me say that if you don't agree with something someone says, you don't change their mind by saying something like "ha ha ha, oh wait that wasn't a joke"

Not only do you look like a jackass when you do that but its not exactly novel. Everyone in favor of the stripes here is making sound arguments, feigning hysterical laughter is about as lame an argument as I've ever seen...cept Boo Boo's Roflcopter, thats still damned funny.

At least the Roflcopter was thoughtful. ;)

There's no way I can choose between these two...
They were both phenomenal, heavy rock bands but were polar opposites in many ways...The Who were more pissed-off and Zep was all about the sex and mysticism...both had great guitarists but for different reasons..Townshend for rhythym and Page for lead..Bonham and Moon, while both exceptional drummers, had very different styles as well..

Scarlett O'Hara 05-17-2006 11:00 PM

Zep definitely. I like the Who, but I just prefer Zep.

For Zeppelin all I can really do is admire their musical skill...which is not too fun...its like listening to Dream Theater. Their music doesn't speak to me whatsoever, sadly. The Who, especially on Tommy and Quadrophenia, are amazing and some of the best Rock Albums ever. In my grading...

Songwriting: The Who 4/5, Zep 3/5
Singing: The Who 3/5, Zep 2.5/5
Instruments: The Who 3.5/5 Zep 5/5
Live: The Who 5/5 Zep 4/5
Influence: The Who 3/5 Zep 3/5

It doesn't really affect how I think of the two bands, but The Who come out ahead in my faulty grading strategy.
