Best British band of the 90's (electronic, dance, rock, album)

I agree. OK Computer captivates me enough to listen through all the way, whereas in Kid A I can't seriously listen past Treefingers; Haven't heard Amnesiac, thought Hail to the Thief had too much filler, and In Rainbows just feels like a compromise to me.

Most of my favourite 90s bands happen to be American, but since I have to choose I'll go with My Bloody Valentine, because their one 90s record is fantastic and to many, life changing, and maybe Portishead, because they're not a popular choice around here : P

Best thing about British bands in the 90s was that there wasn't one standout band , there were loads of them.

Even the lesser bands of the time put out quality albums. Bands like Elastica , Strangelove , Ultrasound , Laika , Urusei Yatsura & The Telstar Ponies would never be considered the greatest of bands but i'd swap the lot of them for the shit that passes for British rock music now.

I had a soft spot for Menswear . I need to get Elasticas debut. The Cranes were a great band too.

I don't even have their debut

I used to have it on cassette but it seems to have gotten lost. Big props to The Curve and Ride too.
