Wow...this thread hasn't been posted in since '05.
So "The Great Escape Artist" is streaming on iTunes and I had to check it out. I'm pleasantly surprised. Granted, I'm one of the few who seems to have found some enjoyment in "Strays"...but I can definitely see how it wasn't welcomed very warmly. They had definitely lost their Jane's Addiction-ness...it was straight ahead alternative rock. They seem to have gained some of that back this time around. They are a bit more adventurous with their songs, but there is a maturity with the music that needs to be there considering the age of the band. I'll gladly add this one to my collection once it actually gets released. Very enjoyable stuff.

I love them. Nothing´s shocking and Ritual are their best.
The new isn´t bad at all, but they will never be the same.
