Time to conclude this battle. One album has sailed through the entire battle without receiving single vote to be eliminated – and as you've probably deduced, that album is Slowdive's Souvlaki!

Results
10. Swirlies - They Spent Their Wild Youthful Days in the Glittering World of the Salons
9. My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
8. Asobi Seksu - Citrus
7. M83 - Before the Dawn Heals Us
6. Swervedriver - Mezcal Head
5. Lilys - In the Presence of Nothing
4. Ride - Nowhere
3. A Place to Bury Strangers - Exploding Head
2. Lush - Spooky
1. Slowdive - Souvlaki

It's been suggested to that we might want to move this game over to SCD and start a new thread there. Seems fair, as the recent MB regulars have (as far as I can tell) mostly migrated over to that site, or at least the ones that have popped in to vote in this thread more than a few times.
Anyway, just wanted to check that nobody has a problem with this, including people who haven't participated for a few rounds but might be lurking still.
If nobody minds then, I imagine we'll be starting the next battle over on SCD, which means I will stop updating this thread in that event.
By the way, feel free to suggest what genres you would like to do next, as I haven't gotten around to doing the usual RNG schtick, but I imagine we'll settle the question of genres within the next few days and then get going again, wherever it may be

I've been going back and forth between both sites but I'm fine with moving this thread over there.

I'm over there mostly as well so I'm good with that. We may very well be killing this place at last.

Sorry I haven't responded in a few days, had some left over uni assignments to attend to.

Based on your responses it's pretty much definite that we'll be doing this over on SCD as of the next battle. While I'm in the process of copying all the necessary information over though, here's the three randomly generated options for the next genre battle:

1. Jazz Fusion
Spoiler for list:
1. Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
2. Return to Forever - Light as a Feather
3. Herbie Hancock - Head Hunters
4. Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire
5. Al Di Meola - Elegant Gypsy
6. Soft Machine - Third
7. Weather Report - Heavy Weather
8. Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
9. Larry Coryell - Spaces
10. John McLaughlin - Devotion
2. Deathrock
Spoiler for list:
1. Alien Sex Fiend - Acid Bath
2. 45 Grave - Sleep Safety
3. Christian Death - Only Theatre of Pain
4. Samhain - November-Coming-Fire
5. Kommunity FK - The Vision and the Voice
6. Skeletal Family - Futile Combat
7. Cinema Strange - The Astonished Eyes of Evening
8. Rudimentary Peni - Cacophony
9. Xmal Deutschland - Tocsin
10. Screams for Tina - Screams for Tina
3. 80's Arena Rock
Spoiler for list:
1. Rush - Moving Pictures
2. Journey - Escape
3. Toto - Toto IV
4. Def Leppard - Hysteria
5. Billy Squire - Don't Say No
6. Genesis - Invisible Touch
7. Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet
8. Van Halen - 1984
9. Whitesnake - Whitesnake
10. The Cult - Sonic Temple

In this instance I think my vote would go to Jazz Fusion
Once we've landed upon what to go for I'll go ahead start the new version of the thread on SCD.

I could go with Jazz Fusion or 80's Arena Rock.

Since jazz fusion isn't something I would normally listen to, it looks good to me.

OK, I'm setting up the thread now. Shouldn't be too difficult from what I can tell

Final announcement then:

This thread will no longer be updated as the game has moved to the SCD forums. If you want to join in on any future rounds you can find the new thread here.
Consider this thread hereby defunct.
