Okay, you guys are not going to believe this.
My all time top three albums happen to be by the Beatles. Abbey Road isn't one of them. Abbey Road, however, is well in my top twenty all-time. Unfortunately, for the greatest band ever, Murmur is in my all-time top ten. And so, in a shocker... The Beatles- Abbey Road |

Know I'm a little late to the experimental suggestions but have you considered squeezing in the Residents somewhere? I listed to Meet the Residents and I have to admit I finally got them a bit. I think Third Reich and Roll may be their best known album.
I have no idea what to take off the list as Experimental really isn't my main forte, but I know you can't get much more experimental than the Residents. |

I'll leave it up to you and the others if it's truly worth it to make room for a Residents album on here, though |

I'd dump the Butthole Surfers. I'm listening to the albums I haven't actually heard and that's easily the worst of the lot. I liked the Mr. Bungle album so I'd leave that on.
I'd vote for the Residents but I'm open to what the others think. |

Time to wrap up this battle, and I see we have a last minute vote from Comus as well, just further driving home the fact that The Beatles have been voted out, making R.E.M.'s Murmur the winner!
Results 10. Supertramp - Crime of the Century 9. Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road 8. U2 - The Joshua Tree 7. Peter Gabriel - So 6. Electric Light Orchestra - Out of the Blue 5. XTC - Skylarking 4. Fleetwood Mac - Rumours 3. The Kinks - The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society 2. Beatles - Abbey Road 1. R.E.M. - Murmur Will post the next battle as soon as the Residents-related queries have been resolved |

I'm ok with the list as it is but if you want to put The Residents on it, I would also recommend dropping that Butthole Surfers album from the list as I also think it's the weakest album on the list.
