Like I said before, a lot of the albums on here couldn't be described as pure power pop and Todd Rundgren, while certainly pop, isn't really power pop.

I guess Copper Blue could work but you may also want to consider one of these...

The Romantics (self titled)
Dwight Twilley Band- Sincerely
The DBs- Like This

Or maybe something from Fountains of Wayne or OK Go! (Though I'm not all that crazy about either band, but they do fit the genre very well). Anyway, it's your call.

I thought I should probably get the battle going so I just made the call on Copper Blue. I thought about including Jellyfish or The New Pornographers somewhere in there but I don't really have much of a relationship with any of those, so if they, or the Todd Rundgren album or any of the ones RS mentioned are greatly missed I'm sure we can find room for them on a wild card list.
With that out of the way, let's get this started. Sorry for the delay
---

Power Pop

1. The Replacements - Tim
2. Weezer - Pinkerton
3. Big Star - #1 Record
4. The Jam - All Mod Cons
5. Cheap Trick - At Budokan
6. Sugar - Copper Blue
7. Teenage Fanclub - Grand Prix
8. Squeeze - Argybargy
9. Badfinger - Straight Up
10. Supergrass - I Should Coco

Let's get listening and choose 4 to vote off by November 12.

I have quite a bit of listening left to do for this one but I hope to be able to finalise my rankings before the first deadline. If not, then probably not so much later. Until then, happy listening!

I didn't know you were considering the New Pornographers. I know they're not on the list but they are definitely a must listen. One of the coolest bands of the 21st century.
