I do love me some Sabaton. It's great when you just want that power metal cheese without having to think to hard about it. You're not getting anything mindblowing but it does exactly what you want it to.

This is exactly it. I don't want to think "They used an ebow to resolve that diminished 5th into a mixolydian scale - perfection!" I want to imagine myself drinking beer from a skull and then storming the castle.

Yeah, you don't always want perfection in the music, just perfection for the moment, Sabaton definitely offers that when the mood strikes.
