Very snarky guy. Still a talented songwriter despite lifting from the Beatles a lot. Clearly in charge of most of the melodies in Oasis. Seems a lot cooler as he's getting older

So they are both moving forward... Both are doing really well don't you think.... Maybe they will even get to like each other.... |

So were Matchbox 20.

When are the Gallagher brothers gonna stop being complete wankers and just reform the ****ing band?

They straight up stole "Bang a Gong Get It On" though.

Sacha Baron Cohen's story is a good example. They name check the Beatles so much in their songs, it gets kinda obnoxious, and I'm a fan of Oasis. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YrHBGQ5rzw What kills me though, is that the older I get, the more I realize a lot of music is just an incremental shift from what's come before. Generally speaking, the music that's the most innovative is just sitting at the intersection of 3 influences. But it's nonetheless moving the needle slightly. It's just harder to hang it on one band. |
I mean you do listen to 7 Mary 3.

Don't lie to me, Dishwalla boy.

I still don't know what any of this has to do with Oasis. |
And I'll bet you have a copy of Matchbox 20's first album you bought when it came out.

The evidence is already damning enough.

But yeah, regardless of being ripped or not, definitely not one of the better songs from that album. Quote:

It's a great album. Definitely peep it. |

When I was 16, and finally got my drivers license, and bought an old junker off my Uncle for $1, the first thing I did was take a joyride with the windows down blasting this album. It's an impeccable album. Quote:

Wait, this isn't called Raw Power. And where do I get the Bowie one? |
Hence "song". And both versions are on Spotify with the Iggy mix just being called "Raw Power" and the Bowie mix being called "Raw Power (Legacy Edition)".
|
So did you listen to Raw Power yet, Big Tres? Whatchu think?

“Cherry Bomb” Played In Lieu Of Actual Female Character Development But for like, for the 4 metal kids in the disco era. That said, I'm not sure what Bowie added other than making it slightly more palatable to cowards. It felt like the roughness of it was reduced. Am I missing something? |
Bagging on both Raw Power and The Runaways is self own squared.

And the Bowie version was the original.

The Iggy mix is rawer, more direct, snappier and louder. The Bowie version, as you said, is basically the same music with the balls cut off.
|
Yeah, absolutely. But that punky 70's sound has just been adopted by pharma commercials and children's shows at this point. Some of the tracks are better than others in sounding like real toons, but too much has been co-opted.
re: Bowie's being the original. Major improvement with the Iggy mix. |
The only people who like the Bowie mix better are pussies and people who grew up with it.

I always saw both Gallagher brothers as Stone Roses ripoffs. I think they both were on the Roses' road crew so that makes sense. Ian Brown was a much better frontman in my opinion.
