does anyone else own this CD? I ripped it at 320 and it sounds like crap!! is the recording just bad? Im sure ill get jibes about how the band sucks and all that lovely garbage, but the recording itself... Is it as bad as all my audio systems make it sound???

in my OP, i asked if anyone else owns the cd, implying that i also own the cd. i still have the longbox for it that cds used to come in for that matter. i also said that i ripped it at 320 which would also imply that it wasnt a download.

Buy a new audio system.

Get the 8-track.

Get a better version from a torrent.

im only asking because it seems that the recording might be crap. My main home system is 2 pair of B&W 2 way 6.5s and 1" tweets, a Jamo center with 2 4"s (with phase plugs) and a 1.25" tweet and a Def Tech 10" powered sub all ran thru a Denon AVR-1802 receiver, so i dont think the equipment is the issue. Im just seeing if anyone elses CD also has crap quality

they have a 2 for one sale at best buy over the weekend, ill check into it

I just listened to it at 25% volume on my phone speakers and it was fine. It's probably your audio system.

can you give it a try on something with some fidelity? like some good headphones where you can actually head the subtle nuances that show the weaknesses in the audio

anyways, i am the audiophile dork who keeps finding imperfections in songs that drive me nuts until i can confirm whether its the recording or just my copy. do any of you actually have any firsthand experience with this album? or is this just going to be a joke fest?

ok dude, nobody accused your phone of anything that isnt true. No phone on the market today nor any over the last decade has anywhere near good enough speakers to accurately represent quality sound. Unless your phone has what amounts to the parts of a good bluetooth speaker on it, then it wont even come close to being able to do so.

Your phones audio quality sucks. Every phones audio quality sucks. No phones audio quality doesnt suck...
