Slam Death Metal
 

A maligned death metal genre that I've previously dismissed due to the small amount I'd heard sounding like a meme. Goofy vocals, bland music, little variation. I've now seriously reconsidered my opinion after finding a ****load of awesome slam that sounds like what brutal death metal always should have been: visceral, malevolent, and hideous. Still a stupid genre but death metal for death metal's sake should be stupid anyway.

considering this is one of the most wild death metal albums in general its rank among the greatest slams is inarguable



this is so catchy and neckbreaking



as far as slamming deathcore goes this is top notch through and through and the layering is simply unreal

I def remember the cover for Fast-Slow Demolition but hadn't heard it. Listening to it now.

I think 0.00 Apocalypse is probably more crazy

actually nah it definitely is. Fast Slow is more standard if that's even an applicable term.

7 H.Target seem alright on first listen, but I kind of don't want "crazy" in my slam. I want it thuggish and direct. Katalepsy and Abominable Putridity are about as far afield as I want it to go. At least at this point in my introduction.
