I like a few tunes by these guys, but I cannot handle a full album. I just can't. I like the songs by them that everyone seems to like, such as Nookie and Rollin', because those are classics in a guilty pleasure kind of way, but everything else? Holy ****, kill me. Normally I'm fine with nu-metal to a degree, but once he starts trying to imitate Chino Moreno from Deftones, I want to turn it off and shoot myself.

I never understood the hatred for these guys. Sure, they're corny as hell and their lyrics suck, but I'd be lying if I said I never rocked out to some of their tunes through my car stereo.

Fred Durst sure does put a lot of people off! His lyrics certainly aren't the greatest but from what I've seen in interviews he really seems genuine about what he does. It's amazing to think that Chocolate Starfish was the fastest selling album of all time when it was released (that record is now held by Nsync. hmm). They toured Australia a couple of times recently and pulled some big crowds. They're a fun live band and they actually look like they're having a good time when they're play, much rather see people enjoying themselves on stage than some pretentious bunch of hipsters acting like they're way cooler than their fans.

Fred Durst is not a lyrical titan, but I like his character. Seriously, his character is very original. He's tough, aggressive, energetic, but has a little bit of a good side. He also has a sense of humour.

A small digression: Fred Durst mentioned: "don't hate me, i'm just an alien with 37 tons of new millenium" (Source: LIMP BIZKIT LYRICS - Livin' It Up) Why would Fred Durst say this? Here's my assumption... He wants to diss someone, but he doesn't want to mention this person's name.

Durst looses tons of cred for this "guitar solo". Starts a bit of a ways in.

I was into My Way back in the day. Sounds just a little more chessy these days in comparison to back when they were popular.

Bands sometime go dormant for awhile, but they always seem reappear here and there with new fans.
Mostly younger listeners.

Easy to understand why a teenager would like their vibe.
