Man it's actually quite hard to narrow down my favorite pumpkins songs...

But if its gotta be a few, I have to Say Mayonnaise, Porcelina of the Vast Oceans and Perfect would be three of them...

The only reason I love Perfect so much is just because it absolutely relates to my personal history in an almost carbon copy of my situation way...

The other two I love because I really love those lengthy, thematically "big" tracks that they do so well - when music and theme gel completely and cohesively, those longer songs can be incredible...
Oh yeah, I see what you mean. Porcelina is like a 9 min song of greatness. I tend to like the longer songs also.

Did you every hear Pastichio Medley, its like 23mins long and even though its a collection of guitar riffs, it's still really good.

Oh yeah, I've heard that! I think I might even have it on disc somewhere... I know I have seen it somewhere in my collection!

If the Pumpkins were to release an album full of big, epic pieces like Porcelina, I think I'd just about die from over - excitement. I love their epic stuff so much, which is why I think I am such a big Mellon Collie fan - its such a big statement from start to finish...

But give me the longer, more instrumentally challenging stuff any day...

With all that being said, their very stripped back cover of "Landslide" is exquisitely good...

Bullet is indeed a fine song - and perfect for those really stupid days when you feel completely pissed off, yet trapped by something.... ie work or whatever it is making you feel like something of a "rat in a cage"... hehehe.

Really, though, great album to blast out of the stereo and let go of all that rage!

TheFutureEmbrace has got to be one of the most remarkable, stunning, sublime albums ever composed in music history. Such profundity of lyrical content. Corgan's a genius and I won't hear anybody saying otherwise.

I'd have to back that one up too... going from Siamese Dream to Adore or even Machina would be too much of a culture shock... the latter two are oft considered more for the purist...
