Ya ya.. you are crazy if you think he is not close the being the man...he not only is an excellent drummer, he is a skilled guitar player as well...Probot!! Noone said anything about this extremely hardcore side project of Dave's...he is the entire band excluding the various vocalists he brings in...good stuff

Dave Grohl IS the man. Apart from being a very talented multi-instrumentalist, he has been one of the most influential musicians of our time. Doing Probot has brought old hardcore into the 21st century, and i know that without Probot, i probably wouldn't have started listening to stuff like Motorhead and Venom. Nice work, Dave. He is the one person i want to meet in the music industry...

Im surprised no one has mentioned Scream as well, but definatly the man. I met him in edinburgh a few years back and he is not only funny, but extremerly generous with his time cos he sat in the pub for 2 hours with us drinking and talking. He also has the best stage prsence ive ever seen and can hold a crowd of 50,000 in the palms of his hands as ive seen him do at a few festivals.

Considering both Foo Fighters and Nirvana had great success, and he is a very talented musician. I'd say he's the man.

Grohl is a brilliant drummer. The way he drove 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', and his work with the Foo Fighters. He must go down in music history as a versatile original artist.

yeah and they probably can't play guitar, bass, write or sing and their probably ****s.

The other band we're forgetting is Tenacious D. Don't count them out as awesome bands Dave has been in.

Dave grohl is the man, you shut your damn mouth.

Dave Grohl is nothing beyond mediocre.

Probot and QotSA were pretty cool.
His drumming in Nirvana was boring, and the Foo Fighters suck.
