Alice Cooper
ok then. Yes im 19 years of age, and i am a big Alice Cooper fan!
I just want to know how many of u out there are also fans, as all my mates laugh at me. But why laugh? He is a great musical artist. His Stage shows are excellent! He has been around for ages, and is still going strong! But to top it all, everyone knows the words to Scools Out so he must be recognised by people of all ages. Please post ur views on Alice Cooper, but also give a reason! Dont just say "oh, he's crap!" or "he's ace" coz that is hardly an opinion! Thanx :yikes: |
Guess nobody likes ALICE COOPER then?
|
i have listened to him before.............. hes a really good singer
|
what songs did u listen to?
its not just the singing, or the music. its the whole "shock" factor. and the theatrical stageshows. the man is a genius. he was, and still is the original shock rock king. |
Alice Cooper can be found strutting around here at golf courses all the time with his funny golf pants, cracks me up..but his club Alice Cooperstown is pretty sweet but expensive.
and isnt he beginning to look alot like the fonz? http://www.thealmightyguru.com/Music...es/AC-Golf.jpghttp://www.omgjeremy.com/unclesam/fonz.jpg |

hey, I'm 16 and i think Alice Cooper rocks too- i think the way he dresses is great, and I agree wiv ya bout the shock factor. I recently read an article bout him- and how he enjoys shocking ppl- in a magazine, as well. It's really cool that he's an individual and his music is also good. my fave song is probably "poison", and it is true that he is recognised by ppl of all ages- although my friends laff at me 2...

Ive met alice cooper at his club here in phx once, super nice guy and pretty easy to talk to. His club is top notch, not too fancy, but not a shithole either, lots of rock n roll memorablila everywhere and 3 bars - 1 outside, 2 inside. From the inside upstairs bar there are a couple huge screens that show the stage outside so you dont miss anything when going to the bigger bar. Hes also pretty well known in the community here not just for his club, or his music, but hes always helping out charity events and his golf game is getting pretty good for an old rocker, too bad his golf attire is almost as rediculous as his stage costumes.

Ok... There is NO ONE who has done more for the rock genre, other than Elvis aka The King, than Alice! IMO Trash and Stoopid were architected, he'll even tell you that. Look at Last Temptation, it's like part two to Nightmare. Sorry you don't like his new stuff. It's actually really good. Brutal Planet has got to be my favorite album. I have ALL his albums, the only one I think that isn't so good is Pretties. It's cool and all just don't like to listen to it. Dragontown was a masterpiece! Hard and moving. Dirty Diamonds is CLASSIC Alice. Plain and simple, like Lace and Whiskey. Eyes was so much like Billion and School's Out it isn't funny. Yes I dig him! His music is transcending and STILL relevant. |
Gotta be one of my all time favorites.
|
I'll agree with Urbans's asessment except I'd change the weird to a weird in a good kind of way, even weird Alice is better then most!!
May try checking out some of his recent stuff My faves are: Pretties For You Easy Action Killer Sepcial Forces Zipper Catches Skin Welcome to my Nightmare Alice Cooper Show Da-Da |
I saw him live again last night, this was the second time I've seen him. He is so awesome live. Even better, each time I've seen him has been Michigan State Fair and he really goes all out for his hometown shows. Favorite show ever.
|
i only like one song
other than that he kinda freaks me out |

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/n...f?t=1220284958 I can't believe what that guy said about Pretties, that album kicks ass. I like Coopers latter stuff, but Love It To Death and everything before it I say is his best. |

I had to miss him this year because its was the same night as my friends birthday party....stupid birthdays.
|
Alice is great! Love it to Death is one of my favorite albums of all time.
|
He's alright..
I listen sometimes. Not much |
I guess I am a fan, my coffee mug at work I bought from Alice Cooper's store, it's black with his name on the side. My ringtone on my cell phone is I'm Eighteen.

Alice Cooper is a fantastic artist. If you listen to his albums without any preconceived notions concerning his persona and over the top stage shows and image it is truely classic. Lyricly he is masterful and he puts so much emotion and feeling into his music. Like Ozzy who I am also a big fan of due to his MUSIC, Alice's talents musically are overshadowed by his reputation as an over the top showman who only looks for cheap shock value. If the music of both Ozzy and Alice are listened to it is easy to see how great they are, making some of the most enduring songs ever. It is unfortunate that these two are mainly known for their on stage antics instead of the incredible artists they are. Maybe someday they will get the respect they deserve.

Oh, dont get me wrong I am as big a fan of Alice Coopers stage show as anyone. I just think that people only think of the show when they think of him.

Alice Cooper is one of the gods of rock that should be never forgotten. My love for his music is boundless, even if I don't listen to him that much anymore.

I totally agree! His music is timeless! |
I love Alice Cooper. He's one of my influences, I've liked his music since I was pretty young. Alice is timeless, and I think he's still going strong. My favorite songs are "I'm Eighteen", "Poison", "The Ballad of Dwight Fry", and one of his new ones, "In Touch With Your Feminine Side".
Alice's new album, Along Came a Spider, really amazed me, and after buying Death Magnetic(Metallica) and Black Ice(AC/DC), Along Came a Spider is definitely the best, in my opinion. |

Holy thread ressurection Batman...
If Im going to be a member of the forum then there is no way you wont get me talking about my favourite artist, Alice Cooper. Been lucky enough to see him live twice in the last 6-7 years, it amazed me that at his age he can still put on a show the way he does. To be the character that he plays, the man that he is in real life, the stories that got told in the early years, it all screams rock and rock every detail of it. Personally I think I'd have to say "Welcome to my Nightmare" and "Trash" are my favourite albulms but in saying that its very hard for me to find music of his that I dont like. I still get questioned by my christian friends how I could like him, people still believe the storys about the chicken head and stuff. I dunno, it just makes it more fun. To see that he is finally going in to the hall of fame as well, its about time though in saying that I fail to see how the hall of fame means anything anymore...lol So theres my rant, honestly believe the man is one of the true greats and even if the style of music is not within your taste I fail to see how anyone to question the bands importance |
