The Aftermath of the "Led-Free" Final Showdown: Post-Led versus Post-Free
The Final Showdown Part II - The Aftermath of the "Led-Free" Final Showdown: Post-Free versus Post-Zeppelin
In episode one we witnessed the Led-Free Battle of the British Blues Bands circa late-60s early 70s. In this episode of "Final Showdown" we'll explore the Aftermath of the "Led-Free" Final Showdown, concentrating on the bands that spun off of both Led Zeppelin and Free. The Free corner: Bad Company - Ready For Love The Firm - Radioactive Queen + Paul Rodgers - Tie Your Mother Down The Led Zep corner: The Honeydrippers - Rockin' At Midnight Robert Plant - Big Log (Official Video) The Firm - Radioactive Diamanda Galás with John Paul Jones - "Do You Take This Man" It's a draw. They went twelve rounds and no one won. You can't make up your mind and feel both post-Free and post-Led Zep were equally good. Besides there is always Radioactive where they joined forces, and created one of the best 80s song ever. The Firm - Radioactive Next up: The Final Showdown Part III - The Southern Fried Rock Version: Molly Hatchet versus Lynyrd Skynyrd Followed by: The Final Showdown Part IV - The Randy UK Punk Version: The Sex Pistols versus The Buzzcocks Followed by: The Final Showdown Part V - We've Never Going to Have Enough Time to Watch 70s Bands to Fight It Out in Final Showdowns: ABBA versus The Bee Gees

JPJ Diamanda Galas should end the discussion but it really doesn’t.
Free for the better spinoff with BC.

Let me bring you up to speed, we're talking about Rock and Roll.
Quote:
It's such a very tough call though, Robert Plant had Robbie Blunt, Jeff Beck, Brian Seltzer for guitar players in his various projects (The Honeymooners, and solo). However Mick Ralphs from Mott the Hopple joined forces with Free's Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke to form Bad Company. Robbie Blunt is one of my favorite guitar players, but so is Mick Ralphs. So for me this isn't only all about Post-Led versus Post-Free. It's about which singer had joined forces with which guitar player. In a way it comes down to Blunt versus Ralphs. And the only way to solve that problem is to have another Final Showdown. The Final Showdown 2.1: Mott the Hopple versus Silverhead - a skirmish resulting from The Final Showdown: Free vs. Zep and its aftermath. Mick Ralphs on (what looks like) a modded Esquier. Mott the Hoople - Honaloochie Boogie 1973 versus Robbie Blunt on the Flying V Silverhead - "Sixteen and Savaged"

The fantastic way he makes fun of Ritchie Blackmore in this video should put this incarnation of band conglomerates out in front by a smidge:
