The Final Showdown Part II - The Aftermath of the "Led-Free" Final Showdown: Post-Free versus Post-Zeppelin
In episode one we witnessed the Led-Free Battle of the British Blues Bands circa late-60s early 70s. In this episode of "Final Showdown" we'll explore the Aftermath of the "Led-Free" Final Showdown, concentrating on the bands that spun off of both Led Zeppelin and Free. The Free corner: Bad Company - Ready For Love The Firm - Radioactive Queen + Paul Rodgers - Tie Your Mother Down The Led Zep corner: The Honeydrippers - Rockin' At Midnight Robert Plant - Big Log (Official Video) The Firm - Radioactive Diamanda Galás with John Paul Jones - "Do You Take This Man" It's a draw. They went twelve rounds and no one won. You can't make up your mind and feel both post-Free and post-Led Zep were equally good. Besides there is always Radioactive where they joined forces, and created one of the best 80s song ever. The Firm - Radioactive Next up: The Final Showdown Part III - The Southern Fried Rock Version: Molly Hatchet versus Lynyrd Skynyrd Followed by: The Final Showdown Part IV - The Randy UK Punk Version: The Sex Pistols versus The Buzzcocks Followed by: The Final Showdown Part V - We've Never Going to Have Enough Time to Watch 70s Bands to Fight It Out in Final Showdowns: ABBA versus The Bee Gees
