At least it sounds kinda heavy, mixing wise and there's some refreshing (in context) mid tempo chugging that got my head bopping ever so slightly for a second. |

Okay I listened to that Hellwitch album.
What can I say? It ****ing rips from start to finish. It's all insanely fast riffs and manic vocals. It's combines the furious speed and technicality of thrash metal's greats with the weird experimentalism of early death metal. Frankly, I can't think of a bad thing to say about it. It's not a heavy album per se, and it certainly isn't the most "brutal" thrash I've ever heard, but it truly takes what makes thrash as a genre great- its pace, and its fearless swagger- and it hones in on those things, ignoring all other possible nuances in favor of making the best ****ing thrash album they could. Great choice, windsock. Now let's get this show on the road or I'll just listen to all these albums by myself. |
