It's a Classic. And anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

I do love how Witchcult Today has nothing to prove and just wants to be as 70s as it wants to be while still being one of the heaviest albums ever. That analogue atmosphere is fantastic.

This album feels super long.

I'm sure no one would be the least bit surprised that I'm not impressed with it, so go ahead and complain that I just don't get it and that I'm gay and whatever.

Basically, I find these songs really boring and unimaginative. Black Sabbath and Cathedral did all of this 10-30 years earlier and much better too. This album is largely one note. Dip into any random moment on the album and it's going to sound identical to almost any other moment on the album. That's an exaggeration, but I do think this album is repetitive and uninteresting.

The fact that the album is from 2000 makes it really unimpressive. If they spear headed this kind of music, at least then I could understand it being so underdeveloped. Take away the grimey production and it's just a bunch of really dull metal tunes with nothing much going for them.
