The Last Command got some hot ****, but W.A.S.P. is rawer and W.A.S.P. is a band that needs to be raw. The Crimson Idol is W.A.S.P. trying too hard to be a band they ain't.

This Who cover kills. Maybe their debut tries too hard. Headless Children.

W.A.S.P. is the concept of trying too hard. At least early on they were trying too hard to do what they were good at. That is a rather cool cover though. Even if it has nothing on "Animal (**** Like a Beast)" or "Blind in Texas".

I’m a very casual fan at most.

Same, but the first two albums are absolutely where they express their true self.

Yes. They were absolutely a part of the early LA glam scene, even if their sound has little to do with Poison or Warrant. **** happens over a decade that makes the early bands of a genre sound different from the later bands of a genre. But it's still the same genre.

I have it all.

The Headless Children and the S/T debut album are MUST haves. The Last Command and Inside The Electric Circus lean more to the commercial side. They're good but not as good. I actually prefer Still Not Black Enough to The Crimson Idol. KFD is one heavy grim industrial metal album. Their two most recent albums, Babylon and Golgotha are very good. Albums to avoid until you are completing the collection are both Neon God albums and Helldorado. Say what you want about Lawless's voice, or lack thereof, but it has an intensity to it and he can really deliver some great angst, color, and shade with his raspy delivery. It works well for a lot of their material. I absolutely love WASP. I grew up on 'em. I think S/T, Last Command and Headless Children are essential. "Mean Man" is a monster tune.

I chose other. I only know 2 WASP songs, and one of those is a Who cover.
