I've heard the song "Duality" off their upcoming album. The new album drops May, 25. I've only heard one song off the album and want to hear more. I thought Duality was okay, but I hope they have some real heavy/fast songs on this album.

Anyone anticapting the new album?

whoa..is it good? i havent really listened to slipknot in a while but i used to be a really big fan. you think the cd is worth buying?

The problem is slipknot is they have boring repetitive riffs with a terrible singer and they cater to goth posers with their silly shock tactics.

I have heard 2 songs from there new cd Duality which is pretty good. and Pulse of the Maggots. You all can download Pulse of the Maggots from http://www.roadrun.com . It seems like they have changed there music quite a bit. Not like there last album Iowa which is one of my favorites lol. I have worn that cd out lol. I am heading out to buy Vol.3 the opening day. I will give you guys feedback if it is worth buying but check out that song Pulse of the Maggots its pretty good. It starts out with like a tornado siren going off its pretty good imo.

i dont like slipknot at all...they arent talented and y the hell do u need 9 ppl in one band?

im not a real big slipknot freak but i thought duality kicked ass

well if you dont like slipknot because of the singers voice..then maybe the band Stone Sour will change you mind. it has slipknots lead singer and guitarist in the band..and i think they are better than slipknot in some cases.

I have the stone sour cd it is prettygood. I like some songs but I dont like him in that band as much as I do him in Slipknot there alot better I think lol. But Slipknot members are in alot of different bands. I think some are in Murder Dollz.

Not a fan of them myself, but my brother likes them and has all the songs of the new CD. Heres my opinion.

1. "Duality" sounds like a Stone Sour song that they threw onto their CD
2. Most of the other songs sound like the second CD they made, not the untitled but the next. It's pretty good, but nothing "GREAT"

i own all there cd's and they kick @$$. They are very talented and i think its cool they have 9 members they each do something too they dont just dance around on stage if anyone out there likes slipknot as well then me and you will get along just fine. just one thing to say to all the Slipknot haters:

im a fan of slipknot. moreso of their earlier stuff, but the new album sounds fairl awsome too. good band

3. I like them, but they're not my favorite band. I like their first album the best.

Here's a guestion, why do they call this band nu metal? Some of their riffs remind me of death metal and some thrash.

my guess is because their music is stripped down... nothing very complicated to play.

I support any and all SLIPKNOT bashing.

Slipknot are banned from Wolverhampton. Which is a small city near me. A remarkable feat and one I hope to achieve for myself one day.

Don't like the music much myself, but the drummer has some talent.

I don't listen to Slipknot or Cher. Does this mean I'm special?

This is what amuses me about Slipknot fans. They're just so incredibly aggressive towards people who don't like their band for absolutely no reason at all, which makes them come across as braindead neanderthals. A bit like Slipknot do.

They can barely cope with their teen angst, so I doubt they could "waste" me.

I really like Slipknot for the simple fact that they cover their fat, ugly, sad faces with those totally ROCKIN' masks.

There is no denying their stage prescence and their whole I LOVE SATAN image is fading which will make them seem so much more talented. But still, not the most technical or original band out there. Not bad not especially good. Comes down opinion.

They are alright....I guess. The self-titled album had some good songs. Don't they have 4 CD's though? One with a different lead singer? Not sure, my brother used to like em.

Slipknot has.....potential. I think they could be alright, if you listen to their music the guitarists suck, but the lead drummer is actually pretty good. The lead singer has an alright voice.

I agree.
They're guitarists are mediocre at best relying on sheer distortion to make up for a complete lack of skill.
The drummer is the only realy memer that has truly mastered his instrument.
It's a shame the talent is wasted on a band who relies on image instead of music.

Slipknot is a kickass band! My favorite by far! Joey is an awesome drummer! My favorite (obviously!).

I hate slipknot bashers. But I hate slipknot fan bashers more.
