They are a HORRIBLE BAND!

I have no idea why ANYONe would call them "talented".
The only talent is their drummer, the REAL drummer, not the braind-dead idiots that beat kegs and call themselves musicians.

Their lyrics are COMPLETELY ASENINE!
I don't know who would respect a man for talking and bragging on about how big of a whinny PRICK he is.
They guy is in his ****in 20's or 30's and is still pissed off about his teenage years?
Hell, I've met a homeless kid on the streets on my way to work who always walks around with a big ass smile in his face, and I HAVE MORE RESPECT FOR HIM THEN I EVER WILL FOR SLIPKNOT!
Because he's GRATEFUL for what little he has!
And he WORKS HARD at school and wants to make something of himself, he has NEVER WHINED ABOUT HIS HARD LIFE!
Taylor is just another spoiled little suburban prick who's parents never bought him a pony and now hates them both.

I like Slipknot, but tell me what your definition of talented is. What struck me most was the fact about how passionate they are about their music. They believe in what they do they do it well. Now you say that hes complains about his parents, and maybe so i dont know what his songs are aimed towards, but the good thing about music is that you can have your own meaning for a song. So to some people it might be that a song expresses how they feel sometimes(if its slipknot its usually anger).

some people read all threads.. reading is much easier than writing. It demands less effort. I dont get why you create another thread about it when theres already some. You could just post your thoughts in another ones thats already created and thats much easier. I like Slipknot and I find their music and lyrics pretty good.

How can you notice how passionate they are when you don't even know what they are singing about?
