Is is sad that I like Corey Taylor? I'm not a fan of Slipknot but in some of his other works I just really love his voice (even if I'm not a fan of the work overall). I also had the chance of meeting him at a Stone Sour gig many, many years ago and he was just a really nice bloke.

Good marketing aimed at kids, especially kids that feel like outsiders (which is a lot)

Being an outcast is not an excuse for listening to dog poo. Listen to music you can relate to, and enjoy it whether it's popular and marketable or not (I too have listened to some crap I'm embarrassed about now, less than a year ago, though I'm not defending that type of music now).

That might be all good and well, but some people are easily led and influenced and it will always be that way.
