Music tends to be all about image, a lot of time. Although not all the time. Why be a musician when you can be a musician and an entertainer?

I can agree on that, but I don't find people dressing up in hedgehog costumes and dancing around like lunatics very entertaining.

Maiden Floyd and eric there not heavy enough dark enough and when I was a kid those were two very important factors esp the Dark part I had some fuked up things swirling around my head (prob still do LOL) and eric Clapton didn't cut it LOL

Well Norg you heard the man. You CAN'T prefer Slipknot over Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd or Eric Clapton musically. It's NOT POSSIBLE. Start listening to Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd and Eric Clapton and be sure not to find out how they look like cause you don't want to end up liking them for their image:rolleyes:

Slipknot is one of the least respected metal bands out there, constantly being disregarded and made fun of by most music fans cause of its musical simplicity and fanbase. Why would anyone like them for their image? Your logic and reasoning have to be pretty terrible to come to that conclusion.

Do you want to know who would people actually like for image? Aged, reputable, revered bands like the ones you listed. Cause they make people feel as if they knew everything there is to know about music if they listen to them, which means it attracts a lot of posers.
