Very talented musicians, not very fond of the music itself though.

I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

Joey is an absolutely awesome drummer, Corey is an absolutely amazing vocalist but the problem is they could do ALOT better.
I like the band but I wouldn't call them my favourite or not even close. favourite songs are... Wait and Bleed, Liberate, Duality and Before I forget |

I've always liked them. They're not nescessarily talented but its fun to listen to.

Slipknot: IOWA
Don't know if there are any people keen on Slipknot on these boards...
Personally I'm not much of a Nu Metal aficionado, but this one album I believe is seriously damn good. Their vocalist does amazing work with the screaming, and the fluctuation between different ranges of screaming and soft, quieter vocals whenever the emotional stage of the particular song calls for it. The rhythm of the vocals too is incredibly tight and fits perfectly with the music. I also found it to be one of the better drumming albums I've heard, especially on tracks like Iowa. Anybody else have positive thoughts about this record? |
