That's cool and all, but aside from maybe being original at the time, why should I care about the album now? I really did like that one track but... eh...

The brilliant songwriting? Intense atmosphere and guitars?

I suppose those things are there if you don't have my ears.

If you genuinely can't make out the guitars then I do think your ears might be the problem.

Also these compositions are far more dynamic and complex than "noise spasms" but that honestly might just be genre shock or something because it's far from what I've seen you rep here (that I listened to or recognized that is).

I was referring to this specifically

The guitars are very distorted but they're still distinct.

I think I'm literally deaf. No seriously, I just don't really feel any of these songs, beyond the one I pointed out. I do actually have legit hearing damage, though.

I entirely admit to being picky about distortion. You can set your guitars up in thousands of different ways and not all sound good to me.

Real music nerds are half deaf from blasting that good ****.

I think you're just out of your element on this record tbh. I'd be interested in seeing your thoughts after exploring metallic post-hardcore/metalcore a bit more if you ever get around to that.

Guilty as charged. I'd rather start with some obscure bands tbh. I've probably brushed up against the big players already.
