With all due respect Mondo, your answer speaks to the absurdity of the question, and the genre as a whole.
Born 1960. Metal was Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep, Moterhead, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden.
Then punk, new wave, techno, hair bands, etc. decided to jump on the train.
And here we are now.
Question #1: What is "Metal" music?
Question #2: How does your definition of metal work into all of these ridiculous sub genres of the "genre"?
Question #3: Why is Frowny still a mod?
Question #4: Why am I still awake?
