I actually like all the Lord Worm albums about equal. Even "Once Was Not" is not quite as good as first 2, but still great in its own right.

This may be my favorite song by them:

Whisper Supremacy was pretty great musically, but Worm's vocals deteriorated to an extent that's kind of shocking in such a relatively short amount of time. Once Was Not was also pretty ****ing phat. I seem to remember the music at least on And Then You'll Beg being good too.

That was the first album I think i heard by them, heating this song on a radio channel.

Mike DiSalvo was vocalist on Whisper... and I thought he did a decent job, but he was hated by some already for not being Lord Worm.

Another guy who doesn't get as much credit is Sylvain Houde, the original vocalist for Kataklysm, who I think was great, he didnt last long, but this EP in particular is one of my favorites.

Oh **** you right. I know I thought the same thing a while back and then found out I was wrong and now I forgot and went back to being an ignoramus.

But Flo Mournier is one of the best drummers in all of metal.

I love "None So Vile", probably one of the best Death Metal albums.
I agree that Gorguts is the pinnacle of death metal since it captures the key elements of it while also maintaining that strive for originality that invented the genre in the first place and any attempt to give Cryptopsy points for influence and innovation just gives Gorguts more of an upper hand.

I'll take this as a chance to rep Coma Cluster Void's excellent new EP.

I just like Cryptopsy more cause they're a much better soundtrack to attacking someone with a hammer and their riffs are more savage.

Nah Gorguts is better because you can bludgeon to the rhythm and with their weird timing, the victim is never expecting it and it's an all around better experience.

They don't have the necessary visceral hatred and violence though. They're more out of this world than actually brutal.
