Yeah I'd say it's metal. Not as metal as "Highway Star" or "Iron Man" or something, but it passes.

Btw, the part after the guitar/keyboard duet thing where Ian Gillian starts screaming and laughing and the song slams back full force is one of the best moments in Heavy Metal, early or otherwise.
