Band Eagles on RYM?

On a site RateYourMusic it seems that Eagles is the lowest rated band out of big 70's classic rock acts. Why?

Ratings for ther albums:

Eagles - 3.36
Desperado - 3.51
On the Border - 3.30
One of These Nights - 3.45
Hotel Califronia - 3.40
The Long Run - 3.20
Long Road Out of Eden - 3.11

Ratings for their popular singles:

Hotel California - 3.15
Take it Easy - 3.13
One of These Nights - 3.56
New Kid in Town - 3.15
Take it to the Limit - 3.21

What do you think? It seems that a site RYM is run by users who are very anti-Eagles, like "Dude". Why?
I'm not an Eagles fan, but I don't think they deserve such a hate. They are not great, but not that bad either.

by RYM standards those are pretty positive reviews. too bad they don't deserve them because they boring dad rock for boring dads.

I know the Eagles get a lot of flack, but they knew how to write a solid pop song.

I always wonder how RYM comes up with their ratings sometimes. I can't imagine any other site rating One of These Nights better than Hotel California. I have to agree with them that Desperado is their best album though.

Song Hotel California is generally considered to be a timeless classic, a song that transcends the fans/listeners of specific types of music. And that song got an average score 3.12 by RYM users. Absolutely unbelievable. For example, the songs as How Deep is Your Love by Bee Gees and You Spin Me Round by Dead or Alive have much higher average scores than HC. I think that's a kinda travesty if you ask me. I can't imagine those two songs being better than HC in any way.
Some people might not like Eagles in general but I really don't get how can anyone deny the musical quality of HC.

I am an Eagles fan (duh) but unlike TB I would take little notice of RYM ratings. You don't know if these are people rating songs/albums low because they don't like these bands, or just for as we say over here, divilment. If you like the Eagles, fine, nobody's going to change that. If you don't, the same.

I also agree Desperado is a great album, high on the list, though I would personally go

Hotel California
Desperado
Long Road Out of Eden
Eagles
One of These Nights
On the Border
The Long Run

(don't even ask me to include Hell Freezes Over - four new tracks? Four? Get out of here)

you have to realize that on rym theres like over a million users and most of them hate the Eagles because The Dude said that he hated the Eagles in that bowling movie

I think The Dude kinda sucks as a movie character. Never understood why is he regarded as 'cool'.
