It's just an Irish expression. It's devilment, ie, just for the hell of it. But we Irish often say the divil instead of the devil, therefore devilment become divilment. It's also used here as a kind of description of something done just to annoy someone: I'm going to set off that car alarm just for divilment - hope you boys aren't up to any divilment etc.
