Default Metal Albums You're Not Digging

Why isn't there a thread for this? Oh wait: there is now.

Repentless - Slayer

I'm no expert on Slayer, but can anyone tell me what the **** went wrong here? As Fry would say, this is weak.

No Lombardo, no Slayer.

This new enslaved album is pretty boring.

Not that I'm really a fan of the band to begin with, but I've been giving them a little chance every time they've put out a new album. This one is really tedious to sit through. There's some cool moments, but it's also full of dull, robotic filler music with little to no feeling to it. The vocals are a big turnoff for me as well.

I don't see the hype.

Will To Power -Arch Enemy is actually pretty bad once you dig into it.

I actually like it quite a bit!

To me, it's possibly their 2nd or 3rd best album. I've had a ton of fun listening to it ever since I bought it a month or so back. I just really dig the guitar work and the songwriting on this album. It's keeping me entertained for sure.

Oh, glad you like it. I thought the guitars were really good, but not the songwriting. It seemed...poppier to me. There were a few good songs, but not something I really enjoyed overall.

Alcest's - Shelter

Not strictly a metal album, more post-metal/blackgaze, but my least favorite Alcest album. Their latest release is pretty good though.
