Post your favorite traditional metal gems here.

NOTE. No Euro power-metal like Blind Guardian. We don't need whiners in this thread. No nerds singing about dragons, knights, magic castles and similar stuff.

1. I agree with no Euro power metal, as while it is a clear descendant of trad metal, it clearly is not trad power metal.

2. Plenty of trad metal does in fact talk about dragons, knights, magic castles, and similar stuff, even if in not so literal a sense... for the most part. Just look at Rainbow and Dio. Trad metal was just way less down the nerd metal evolutionary spectrum. But it was on the same spectrum.

3. I'm still going to include certain American, 80s power metal if I feel like it as it is clearly one-step removed at best.

So...

So what's the definition? Just... old metal that isn't thrash? Or what I call heavy metal?
