It's not even something to make you scared. It's just not to your tastes. It's kind of tame tbh.

I'm not scared of it, ffs! What kind of a girl do you take me for? Don't answer that.

I'm scared of wasting my valuable time letting it assault my ears, and the therapy I'll have to go to afterwards. I'll get on it soon but it's likely I won't get past the first few tracks, if what I'm hearing here is anything to go by.

Your schedule is untenable and leaves you inflexible for listening to other music. You should deal with that and quit being so ridiculous. I don't imagine that it makes you any happier.

Nah I've no problem with it. Even if I was doing nothing I'd still resent setting aside time to listen to an album I'm probably going to hate. Which I am.

It's a death metal album club. Of course you're going to listen to albums you don't like. Just make time every single week for one album you don't like. One single ****ing album by people who got some **** for you and stop being a bitch about to quit every single time one dude got some **** you might not like. This thread is exactly for you since it's one single ****ing album for you one single ****ing week, unlike your other thread that's albums per week.

One. ****ing. Album. Per. Week. That's it. And people will literally be happy about it that you make it for that week. Or at least I will and not just for the amusement factor. Just stay for me if nothing else.

I never said I was going to quit? Did I say I was going to quit? Well, that once, but not since. I'm just saying I'd rather have something I have some chance of looking forward to. Some of the albums have been ok, but this one sounds like it's going to be a total waste of my time. That's all. Maybe I'll be wrong. Unlikely though.

I'm about to spin this now. Hey, what can be so bad about a band called Nun's Laughter, huh?

Nunslaughter – Hells Unholy Fire

Well that's original: starts off with the sound of crackling flames. “I am deaf?” Oh no, “I am Death”. That certainly makes more sense. Oh, and a demonic dark laugh, sure why not? Oddly enough I can actually make out the vocals which I thought I wouldn't be able to, and yes, they do sound like some kid practicing in his bedroom with his mates. What age is this guy, or was he at the time of recording? Could look it up but I really don't care. Drummer seems just to be randomly hitting the skins, guitar is, well, there, but no presence and yes, it's so buried (hah!) in the mix that most of the time it's hard to hear it. I suppose that's so that you can concentrate on the Grand Master Pimple doing his best to sing, and let me tell you, his best ain't good. Ah, it's so cute when he tries to be evil. Lord this is terrible.

The songs (I'm being generous here) all sound the same and there's no character or identity to the music at all. I will give them that the song titles can be hilarious when they're not simply cliche, like “I am Death”, “Blaspheny”, “Burning Away” and “Seas of Blood”. But songs like “Inverted Churches” (how exactly do you invert a church, Varg? No, no! If you burn it down it's not – ah. Too late. Oh well) are just side-splittingly funny. “Death by the Dead” is another good one. I mean, what the hell (excuse my language) does that mean? “Perversion of Gore” sounds like they really want so bad to be grindcore or goregrind or something, but they ain't got no chance. Quite amusing too how he seems to keep belching from time to time: Pepto-Bismol, anyone? In a black bottle, of course.

Hey, at least all the songs are very short. Guess they couldn't handle longer ones. Frankly, neither could I. But I think on balance, even though this is an awful album, I have to award points for comic relief and for sheer thick numbskullery, as I'm certain - certain! - these guys are taking this seriously. Hilarious. Deserves an extra cleaver for that.

Note: I posted this review with eight tracks yet to go. Somehow, I doubt anything in any of them is likely to give me a change of heart!

To me, quiet guitars instantly murder the would-have-been impact of any metal track that goes for aggressive heaviness. This album would be somewhat improved if only I could remix it. I'd turn up the guitars 25-50%, turn the vocalist down about 20-30% and put a bit more reverb on those vocals too.

I listened to all 18 and there was nothing new after track 10. Or before, really.
