Sepultura - Morbid Visions
This album has always reminded me of Slayer’s Hell Awaits. Although Sepultura’s debut isn’t as good, in both cases you really get a sense of the fun these guys were having, just loving playing metal before they’ve had time to get on each other’s nerves and become jaded about the scene and record companies trying to rip them off. Also every early Sepultura album is a step on the way to peak Sepultura, ie Chaos AD. 7/10 |

kinda forgot about reviewing this week but i don't have a ton to say about this one anyway. it's a solid Sepultura album, sure. but like c'mon, this serves as an ok intro to what they go onto make and not much more than a solid death thrash effort. i'll stick with their next 4 albums, thanks.
