Convulsing—Errata
I like the dissonant death metal riffs on this, but not so much the atmospheric parts. There's too little happening on this album to maintain my attention. I wish it was less atmospheric. My favorite track is probably "Dis". I'll give it a 2/10. |

Yeah basically. Man this album is dull. Alright before the novelty wears off but then far less so.

You could use most of this album as the soundtrack for a horror game or something, but it really doesn't function as more than that: Something to set a mood. It does sound very nice, but an entire album dedicated to worshipping that grimey guitar tone is a bit much. It doesn't really ever go anywhere or change things up to any noteworthy degree. 3/10 Is it just me, or is this less death metal than some kind of extra grim sounding doom metal? |

Nah it's definitely black metal with some death metal and technical death metal touches. I think what you're hearing is the downtempo folksy stuff, but that's just the sound of modern black metal.
