Yeah BoY probably is afk for the foreseeable future so I'll give it to Wpnfire.

Edit: well there you go.

DAMN - The Mean Hour

Gonna echo what Qwerty said. Fun for a few songs but then gets tedious and I never even notice when one song changes. Too much samey chugging, the singer has a nice voice but not much presence, and that production is a bit too slick for its own good. But it's fun in bursts, with a nice combo of aggression and melodicism that I generally don't hear.

Hey, MicShazam, if you dig this then The Crown and Impious might be up your alley.

I liked Impious a lot more than the other one. The guitar work was definitely more interesting to me than your average DM style riffing.

I'd go with The Crown tbh. They have songs that sound more like songs, which isn't something you generally get to say about a significant majority of death metal. But Impious has some sweet **** too. "Hellucinations" is one of the most fun DM songs of all-time.

I can definitely see what you mean, but there's just something about the guitar stylings on that Impious album that seems pretty damn neat to me. It's just my first reaction anyway. I haven't listened much to either yet.

Okay, checking in.

I couldnt decide if I wanted to go for a newer Death Metal album or older one. But between 2 of my favorite records.

Blood Incantation - Starspawn

Infester - To the Depths, In Degredation

I feel that the former may have a little more mass appeal here, and the latter will be more for genre fans. I love the atmosphere and general tone of both albums a lot though personally. I think Infester is a better "spooky" album that would fit in for Halloween... it has that kind of feel to it.

Alright I'll go with Infester then for next week. And if you're afk next time you come up I'll use the other one.

I vote we go with Infester, then

Do we take it this week or next? I've already listened to wpnfire's pick. Not that it matters, it would still be on for next week. I'd just like to know if I can wait with spinning it some more.

EDIT: All irrelevant since Batlord intercepted me before I could hit post!
