And desktop still has ads every few tracks it seems.

The desktop version had inescapable ads back when I used it, but I'm using the browser version in Firefox with adblock these days and there's no ads or any other funny business. You'd think the desktop installed version would be better, but it really isn't.

I have Chrome and the Ad Blocker browser extension and have not had to watch a single Spotify ad.

I'm using it in Firefox as well and there are ads that play between tracks every so often. Maybe that just depends on what country the user is in.

I'm from America and get no ads. Again, I use Chrome and the browser extension of Adblock, not the actual Spotify or Adblock downloadable programs. No ads.

It is. Even though I have a premium account it will only let me listen on shuffle on my phone, so I never use it. It keeps telling me to upgrade to premium, and despite me screaming at it till I'm hoarse that I HAVE a premium account, it won't let me use anything other than shuffle. ****s.

It's really worth getting the premium version. Jansz, I don't know if there's any IP-dependent **** with this, but if not, I'm happy to PM you my login details and you can listen on my account. Let me know.

Srsly tho I have the browser version of Chrome and Ad Block and I don't get ads and don't have to use shuffle.

Do you mean you don't get audio ads in the player or you don't get banner ads in the site? Usually ad blockers only stop banner ads.

No audio ads. Same as Youtube. Except... Youtube has... video ads... you know what I mean.

My adblock mutes youtube too.
