Bro, nobody cares about post-Chaos AD Sepultura, besides a few twats who like their next album, and nothing since Arise is death metal. Honestly though I'd be down for at least a few classic albums being thrown in the mix. Knock yourself out with whatever you want. This is a noob friendly thread and if anybody thinks otherwise then go **** yourself. I'd be interested in MB's opinions on Arise, Morbid Visions, or Beneath the Remains tbh.

Hell with it then. Make this my pick for next week.

Tomb Mold - Primordial Malignity

At first I liked the grimey sound of this album, but it gets old pretty fast.
The low end growling is completely one note and the whole album feels pretty damn monochromatic. Tempos vary, but it feels like I'm listening to the same thing over and over again. Very uninteresting music that is too purely based around feeling a very specific way. Paying attention to the specifics doesn't help me appreciate it either as it's just a load of cookie cutter riffs and drum beats that in no way attempt memorability or any sort of musical dynamism. I'm sure some would say that I should just stop thinking and bang my head, but there's no way I'm going to enjoy 32 minutes of tepid, flavorless grinding.

3 skulls out of 10. Bonus points were awarded for not sounding overly clinical like so much death metal does.

Good album, I am more partial to Schizophrenia, but this one is obviously a classic in the DM world.

Guess I'm a twat, because I think Roots is a pretty good album.
