It's just boring, made for radio "heavy rock" music.

see I'm the opposite way...I prefer trapt over smile empty soul....

I think it's because I can relate more to trapt's female problems in their lyrics....

I think you like SES more because you can related to their teen angst bull**** lyrics.....don't get me wrong...I like smile but I think trapt is so much better

SES are far from generic, radio-ready rock. I mean, part of the reason that they're no longer on a big label is because they didn't want to go that route. If you look purely at their singles, then yes, they are radio-ready and not exactly ground breaking, but a lot of their other stuff is quite superb. They're clearly influenced by Alice In Chains and Nirvana. If the stuff with their old label Lava never happened, and their second album 'Anxiety' was released as originally scheduled, they'd be a lot more popular then they are now. They stuck to their principles though and are still making great music.

I reccommend 'Ban Nuys', 'Atoll' (an instrumental), 'Morning Light', 'Californias Lonely', 'With This Knife' and 'Reflection'.
