Just noticed there IS a Prog and Psych subforum here.

Giving a cursory look, it would appear to be dead.

There are prog fans here, a few kids for that matter, but there are too many Genesis's and Dream Theater's and not enough King Crimson's and Hawkwind's for anyone to be expected to keep up with all that ****.

And yes we do enjoy bartering ridicule.

I'll sing the praises of Spock's Beard for days, but most prog rock doesn't do much for me.

I don't know about that. I find people on this site to be generally pretty open minded and tolerant about other people's taste in music.
Maybe they've just become so good at burying their resentment under a layer of friendly sarcasm that they manage to fool me? I can't think of a single member that has (much) of a stick up his arse.

They wouldn't be quite as intolerable if they had another singer. That guy sounds like he's got a cactus permanently stuck in his underpants.

As far as solo stuff goes that's my favourite as well, but I think his overall best is Massacre's Killing Time.

I mean, I guess. James LaBrie (or whichever one sings, I don't even care enough to look it up) is awful, but a better singer wouldn't make them any less dull, noodly, or tacky.

Doesn't liking Ke$ha and ICP unironically automatically make you the least pretentious person on the site? I think it probably does. I know that's sucks to admit for a cynical misanthrope.
