More Pagan (which may not appeal to your uber-Christian beliefs of course) than Folk Metal, but I was really impressed by this:
(There might be some growling somewhere in it, I can't remember, but if I recall properly mostly it's instrumental or a kind of low howling when the vocals kick in) |

Most recent two records are my favorite but much less of a folk influence than the first three. Regardless, can't go wrong. |

Half of Bergtatt by Ulver doesn't have black metal vocals, it might warm you up to them as well in the places they do show up.

The Russian pagan metal band Arkona. The singer is named Masha Scream, so as you might figure, there's some rough vocals in there, but not black metal style as such. The song below is just singing. This band is incredible, but they might not be what you're looking for.
I also remember an Irish(?) band named Cruachan. They possibly didn't have rough vocals, but I can't quite remember. Edit: I checked Cruachan on youtube and they both have music very far from black metal, and some that definetely fall in the folk+black category. This album seems to have little to no screaming: |

From what you were asking I just assumed you'd already listened to them and that's why you were asking for folk metal without black metal vocals.

Well if we get to make beautiful folk metal with some bm vocals, then Uaral belongs in this thread: Some very sad, somber, and soulful Chileans |

I would've said the Mantle if not for the, you know, black metal vocals
|
No one's made that point already right

you must not listen to much black metal since it's pretty much the opposite most of the time

Folk metal w/o harsh vocals. Though some of the vocals are a little rough.
Folk metal with harsh vocals, but also clean vocals. |
