Is this list supposed to be a joke?

Not sure but I like where you're going!

Little surprised by the lack of love for British Steel.
It's okay, I just prefer AC/DC. A closer look at this list and things start to fall apart after number 12.

All sorts of problems start showing up, Too Fast for Love before Shout at the Devil? Iron Maiden self titled before Powerage? Volume 4 before Master of Reality? Diary of a Madman in the top 20???

It looks like they're trying to be hip and trendy instead of listening to what albums actually sound better.

Nah, Too Fast for Love is better than Shout at the Devil. Just. It doesn't have as good and dark production, but it's got more energy and more diverse songs. "Live Wire" is the most speed metal they ever got, "Starry Eyes" is their best ballad, "On with the Show" is one of the very few Motley songs to have honest emotion, and "Piece of Your Action" is pretty much glam metal wannabe hacks like Warrant all the way back in 1981. Easily a top 10 metal album for me. It's so ****ing fresh and youthful and fun.

Volume 4 before Master of Reality?
The only way I could accept that is if it were from a VERY deep dish Sabbath fan. I'm more inclined to think it's sloppy journalism rather than something they could justify.

I just don't believe they're listening to Sunn0))) and Pig Destroyer and Emperor. Honestly, they probably googled lists from here lol

I also think that Volume 4 is better than Master of Reality but they're different enough that either choice is cool.

Yeah definitely. I think Master of Reality's runtime is filled up with a bit too many instrumentals and soft songs for the amount of thunderous **** on offer. Not that those are bad songs, but it's kind of a short album to be filling up with non-doom. A couple more riff fests and it would be nearly perfect, and even without them it's still easily better than Volume 4. Does anybody even like "Changes"?
