Corey Taylor is definitely not the type to commit suicide though, he's a very 'thick skinned' guy, plus he seems very satisfied with his life at this point.

I think at this point in the history of mankind it's safe to assume that however people seem to others is 1000% meaningless

Yes. Embrace that feeling. Turn the shame into euphoria.

All day I was thinking the dude from Limp Bizkit died. My daughter laughed at me. "Linkin Park!" she cried.

Oh. I've not heard a single song from either band and often think of them as the same band.

I wonder if all the hate on the newest album had anything to do with it. There's no way he would have killed himself just for that - you would have to be unbelievably thin skinned - but it could have helped push him further into dark mental places.

Anyway, none of that speculation matters.

Just because I disliked his music doesn't mean I'm happy that he died. It's sad that people go and do that sort of thing to themselves. It just plain sucks.

Didn't his suicide note say something like he didn't think he'd still be doing this when he's in his forties?

The distinction is that Limp Bizkit is cheeseball frat music while Linkin Park is watered down cheeseball frat music.

I just listened to a Lincoln Park song, and then I listened to a Limp Bisquick song. That's all I need.
