The 2005 music era is well on its way but i still cannot figure out what band has made its mark or has leaped to greatness.

Well if we're talking about best album, I'm gonna plug "Picaresque" by the Decemberists. Kings of Leon and The Subways aren't bad choices either.

we'll i'd have to say that HELIUM SOUL in the UK are my top band at the moment - they rock. I've seen them live twice now and they have this hugh raw blues/rock sound that i haven't heard since the likes of zepplin. Authentic too being as both the times i saw them they had loads of old valve kit and a massive hammond - with a leslie all on stage. I wanted to find outmore about them as I think their pretty new on the scene and i came across their website www.heliumsoul.com - there's sound sound bytes on their too from an album they've recorded - apparently out soon - have to keep my eye out for it

im not a huge fan of green day... but they did do some major leaping... and i also think the killers did too

Hot Hot Heat's elevator was great...Razolight are great too..Kings of Leon would be a thrid chocie for me..
