There are also some more recent bands that have resurrected the genre, but it's not nearly the same it was as in Days of Yore.
Stuff like this next one sound straight out of 1964: This is an older band, from 1985. But, none of these other bands can hold a candle to the Beach Boys.

This is one of my favorite surf rock songs. I dig how much you can hear his Lebanese roots in this, and there's something that always seems futuristic to me about it despite the fact that its over 50 years old.
