Default 80's album clash: Appetite for Destruction VS 1984?

Pick one of these 80's albums.
And name your most and least fave tune from both albums.

My pick is AFD. Fave tune: Rocket Queen, least fave: Anything Goes
Fave tune on 1984: Hot For Teacher, least fave:Girl Gone Bad(Roth's vocals sucks in this song).

Most people here are going to rag on Appetite for Destruction, because that's the prevailing attitude on MB, but I like both albums equally, albeit for totally different reasons.

Favorite song from Appetite for Destruction: "Rocket Queen"
Favorite song from 1984: "Hot for Teacher"

Here's an idea: make a thread that does neither of these things:
A) Pits one album/artist against another, often with no connection at all between the two

B) Asks why band X is not appreciated enough or

C) Says band Y suck, because, you know, they suck.

Ready? GO!

Your thread ideas are lamer than mine, and that's saying something, as anyone will tell you.

You got that right.

I can't stand either album, but the drum intro on Hot for Teacher is one of the two cool things Van Halen ever did, so that gets the edge.

The harmonics in the intro to "Drop Dead Legs" are pretty cool too. C'mon, you know you love it.

1984 is a shiny Trans Am with pop-up headlights and a custom paint job racing down the Pacific Coast Highway. Sometimes I just want to take that ride in that car.

The other cool thing was Spanish Fly. It'd be neat to have another album to put in the love pile, but here we are. My hatred of the band is almost certainly due to overexposure, because how else would I not like a glam metal album right?
