First off, never heard of any of these guys. So kudos again for several new recommendations.

Horrendous - Ecdysis: this was a very solid 8/10 on my first listen. The guitar tone was almost warm. I've only heard a few others records that conjure the phrase 'happy death metal' and Horrendous is definitely one of them. You can bet that I'll be checking out The Chills and Anareta in short order.

Tribulation - The Formulas of Death: I'm always taken aback by how much I enjoy death n' roll. On paper it's a slower, less aggressive version of music I love - but as groups like Kvelertak have demonstrated, paper counts for nothing. I'm sure there is a better direct analog to this record, but I couldn't get "Ulvetid" out of my head while listening to this. Maybe it's the intermittent d-beats or the still intelligible overbite of the vocalist. Whatever, this was added to my liked videos; will be coming back to it. Didn't hear too much a of psychedelic tinge to the music. Perhaps we have different thresholds. I'd append the progressive tag to them for sure.

Excited to get to the other two recs later today. My library hasn't been seriously updated since 2012ish, but I'll see if I have any tunes to add to the thread.
